Lyle "SupaFly"
Lyle "Super-Fly-Ly" Yates has been Funkin', Rockin', Jazzin' & Jammin' the Midwest Area for some 37 years. He is Bizzier than a Mosquitoes' Tweeter, on a 110 degree day in July!! He has gigged with well over 150 groups throughout his career, and concentrates his musical efforts now on the up & coming project entitled "The Doc James Band featuring Honey"!
The Buzz is; he grew up in a musical family, guided by his father,
Everett Yates (an accomplished/self-taught Jazz
Organist/Pianist/Guitar/Bass/Vibes musician). Lyle, being influenced by
another group called The Beatles (The Fab-4), when young, desired to
become a drummer like every other kid, but his father pushed the
Electric Bass!
So there you have it!! No formal training just a gift from God, 2 big ears, and a very passionate heart to play MUSIC! Come check him out, he'll be the one jumpin' & flyin' round, puttin' his whole body into the tune w/some major Funk-down showmanship!!
